This is just one way to address photos. Using thumbnail
sizes, which link to the full view if someone chooses to
view larger images. In this instance they are on the same
page but at the bottom. The other way would be to make
subsequent pages to "hold" the larger images. The method
used here is easier and less time consuming, but either way
are efficient.
